@Emma ugh me too!! Lesson learned.
I've started making a list of all the things I can eat after pregnancy 😂 so far we've got KFC chips, pineapple, smoothies, bubble tea, watermelon, salami sandwiches, salmon nigiri sushi, runny eggs on toast, mashed potato and gravy 😅
@Emma my list is pretty damn similar!!! Especially sushi!!!
@Emma I'm looking forward to donuts 🥹 not even a lot of them. I just want to be able to have one when I want. And potatoes. They spike my sugar and upset my tummy.
You can have some fruit but it needs to be low GI and you need to pair it with cream or something. So a bowl of berries and cream would probably be ok. Or green apples with peanut butter. Barely ripe bananas I can tolerate.
I can recommend having fruit with some cheddar cheese if you want to help keep the levels a little lower. For some reason cheese seemed to always help me 😂
What Tanya and Lucy wrote!
Fruit and Greek yogurt too! I noticed when I ate fruits alone it had spiked but with fruit and yogurt, not so much.
You need protein before your sugar and carbs. Try some yogurt, beef stock, boiled eggs. That’s the only way I can eat fruit
You could try fruit that has lower sugar/glycemic index like berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries). Apples and grapes are the worst ones, and if you’re gonna have a banana, eat it before it gets too ripe (the more ripe it is the more sugar it has). But yes girl I miss fruit so much I just want grapes so bad
I miss fruit so much! 😭
