Any ladies with sensitive vaginas? 😫

HELP! Please 🥺 My vulva is completely flared up! It’s bright red, itchy, swollen and has teared from the scratching I’ve somehow done in my sleep from the irritation. Long story short, I got some new underwear and did a load of washing, my partner being helpful hung out the washing on the airer and I put on the fresh underwear without even thinking and did a work out and now my vulva is ON FIRE. It’s been 3 days now and the itching is just unbelievable. I usually tumble dry my underwear to remove any scent, but my partner hung them out instead. I’ve tried ice to bring the swelling down, I’ve bought some lidocaine which does calm everything down a little, but how much longer should I expect this to continue for?! It’s agony 😫 I don’t have thrush, I have no discharge etc. I don’t have a UTI. It’s just literally irritation from scented underwear and doing a workout 😭😭😭😭😭 Any advice or tips welcome x

I would go to my doctor. It could very well be an allergic reaction

Honestly it does sound like a yeast infection.. maybe ask your doctor to retest?

Any change in laundry detergent or fabric softener?

I don’t use scented laundry soap at all in the first place….And don’t use scented bath soaps directly on intimate areas. If it’s that big of a reaction just from not tumble drying, you should probably consider not using that on your underwear either way

Idk I used that stupid lume deoderant and it's ruined my life I havent stopped itching in over a year. I went 2 my obgyn 3 times before they told me to stop going there that I needed a dermatologist lol

Just a warm washcloth and pat dry. Cotton underwear. Fragrance free laundry detergent. Maybe vaginitis or lichen sclerosus ? Ask your gyno

Are the undies cotton or synthetic? Wear cotton undies. My detergent is also very very mild in smell it just smells fresh and clean out of the wash, I can’t stand strong scents. And we hang dry everything, I don’t think that’s the issue…maybe the undies aren’t natural fibre? Coz if we’re sweating in synthetic undies it’s trapping moisture and heat, at least cotton/bamboo is breathable. Go commando at night

For immediate relief, try rinsing the area with water and some apple cider vinegar. Eat yogurt in case it is a yeast infection. Buy Canesten if you have it in your area.

I would definitely see a doctor

Did you get checked for STIs?… is your partner always helpful with the laundry? He could be the most innocent person, but just the change in air dry doesn’t make sense to me..
