Cat bit toddler
My cat but my toddler pretty bad about 2 hours ago. The bleeding has stopped but it looked so bad before. I thought I would have to bring to the hospital but my nurse friend said to wash it really well
With baby soap, pat dry, put triple antibiotic ointment and a large bandage. Which I just finished doing but she said getting bit like that there is a high chance of infection. Cause cats mouths have lots of bacteria and stuff. I was able to get her an apnt for tomorrow so I can get her on antibiotics. Has anyone ever had this happen to their child and what was the outcome? Did you get them on antibiotics or it wasn’t needed and did it get infected?

@Imane I had called my friend that is a nurse and she said to wash it really well, put triple antibiotic ointment on it and bandage it. So that’s what I did and I was able to get her a pediatrician apnt the next morning. Which they prescribed her an oral antibiotic and antibiotic ointment for the bite marks. It’s healing but slowly

Please bring your little one in asap! Cat bite and scratches are seriously no joke.
Hopefully she is on an antibiotic! Cat bites always get antibiotics since they can get so bad
