Need help potty training

Hello everyone, I'm feeling overwhelmed with potty training my 2.7 month old (yes, I might have left too late. Only know telling me once she has pooped or peed) Can anyone share good tips that have worked. Tried sitting on potty, but then she refused. Tried placing knickers under nappy but just gets panicked. Help please. Thank you in advance xx

So I've just trained my 2.6 year old boy. I started by giving him half a chocolate button for sitting on the potty ( mum police come at me haha) then he started weeing on it and having a poo so gave him half a button again each time . Then moved on to blowing bubbles now we do a happy dance when he has been. It's been a week he seems basically trained now xxx

You are not too late, I am potty training my 2.7 month old we started 5 weeks ago. We still have the occasional accident. My childminder said he is the youngest in her group potty training. We started with a sticker chart and literally sitting on the potty every 60 min. We did that for 3 days and then extending the time. He got the idea of telling me he needed to pee after about 6 days. Then it was catching him to poo. We have to watch still but he is also now saying when he needs that too. That started this week. Take your time. Get a comfy potty and a little travel one. Stay consistent. It is hard work for everyone.

2.7 months isn’t late. We haven’t even started yet.

I can recommend the "Oh crap!" training manual, we found it immensely useful and trained our daughter in 5 days.

Definitely not too late I just trained my daughter at 2 years 10 months. One thing I will say is if you want to train you have to go cold Turkey on the nappies (overnight ok still) and just go with the pants

It is hard work when you first start I won’t lie, but it is worth it. I would remove the nappies and pants completely to start off with. She will learn best naked and you will learn her cues best this way too. We used the ‘oh crap potty training’ method following the book.

We found it tough too, many set backs! We did all bottoms off for 2 days, then loose trousers for about a week now we’ve introduced knickers. Stickers didn’t work for us we had to go to sweets 😅 1 sweet for sitting on the toilet/potty and 2 sweets for peeing. We’re still trying for number 2s which have been awful 🫣
