Possibly pregnant?

Hey ladies! This is my 3rd cycle trying and I am officially 1 day late. I did take a pregnancy test and the results were negative. Prior cycles my period would come on the expected day. I also get major pains prior to my period and they havent been so bad this time. Have any of you had this experience and gotten a pregnancy test soon after? Or was your period just late?
