High bp

I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow and since i have hypertension and had preeclampsia with my last i've been doing weekly nst's, appointments, and lab work every week since 28 weeks. I just did it again today and my bp was 138/82 which is not bad but im starting bp medication to make sure it doesn't raise more. I guess im just scared of the unknown. I had my first a day after I found out i had preeclampsia at 37+5. so this time it's just happening a lot earlier with blood pressure and worries and i have so far to go still. anyone on bp medication and does it help, and continue to help until birth?

I was 37 weeks when I got pree and had my first too. This second time I’ve been kind of up and down with bp, but it’s kept me anxious for every appointment. I’ve just been taking the baby aspirin they told me to, and so far haven’t had to do anything additional. I would gladly accept some regular bp medicine though, I bet it will help (and give you some peace of mind hopefully). 🤞

Yes my BP starting spiking up around 25 weeks. I’ve been put on high blood pressure meds and aspirin ever since. So far everything seems under control and the meds seem to be working. But they’re planning to have me deliver at 37 weeks anyways just to be safe

@Johanna what were your bp's running before and are they normal now?

Before it was it’s the 150s/90s. It’s now between 110-130/70-80
