My child only used the toilet or the seat that is placed onto the toilet. The book I read said not to get a small toilet, and train them on the big toilets already with the small seats to place on top so there is no additional transition from small toilet trainer to big toilet. My son goes to two different daycares (preference based/learning/culture difference) but both use the big toilets and will but small seat on big toilet.
Thank you, he is using the potty which goes over the toilet. The potty you place on the floor. To be fair he is doing an excellent job. It has not been too long. I believe he feels nervous/apprehensive of sitting on the actual toilet which is completely understandable as most toilets are massive unlike nursery ones. We are reading together. Can’t believe how they grow so quickly!

My baby is only 7 week old so definitely not at this stage yet😂 but I work at a nursery. Is he using a potty or the toilet at home? Maybe try get a little toilet seat at home and encourage him to use that just to get use to the toilet. Reading lots of books can help to. Some children just take more time to get use to going to the toilet at different places
