Other ways of preventing pregnancy

Contraception doesn't seem to agree with my body since having my daughter everything I've tried I'm constantly bleeding. So I've chosen not to use Contraception what other ways are there that you can track instead of relying on BC

You can track ovulation, there are apps and ovulation tests. Your partner could get a vasectomy if you’re both adamant about avoiding pregnancy. They’re reversible should you change your mind. Or the sure fire way is abstinence 🤷🏼‍♀️

Copper coil. X

There is male birth control!!!! Pills and condoms

I track ovulation and never let him cum inside. No sex on ovulation days but we have sex every 2-3 days of the month anyway. Been working for us since my boy was born so 5yrs I’ve been tracking and no pregnancies since, I don’t want anymore kids but yeah just NFP for us

I haven’t been on the pill for 6 years or so, did the same measures as @Kellie (apart from actually tracking my ovulation I just had a rough idea) and didn’t get pregnant, but it did take me 11 months to get pregnant when we did start trying so maybe I’m less fertile 🤷🏻‍♀️

Natural cycles. Tracking ovulation and BBT. It seems to be a bit of a pain. I'm trying it atm. Following my periods, taking ovulation tests to follow my ovulation. I seem to ovulate a bit later than the app I'm using predicts. I guess I have a longer cycle. It says day 14-16 is about normal but I conceived my little man at day 17-18. I wasn't natural cycles or tracking ovulation back then but I was tracking my period, moods, sex etc. Have done for a few years, even before the babas. We had sex twice on day 17&18 and now I have a 6m old lol so yeah... Being more careful this time I don't want anymore! Tempted to try the coil, it's basically the last thing I have left to try except depo, and I don't want a shot that I can't reverse if it doesn't suit. I hate BC.

Condoms won’t make you bleed as well as tracking ovulation with tests

Tracking ovulation worked for me until we were ready, though it's not recommended because it's not as reliable as medications or condoms. It cam also be a pain and you have to abstain from sex during your ovulation window. I used the Premom app

There are suppositories and gels you can insert/apply right before sex that are non hormonal and shouldn't cause bleeding.

This BC I used before I got pregnant is called Phexxi. It’s hormone free birth control. You put it into your V before sex basically I used it for a year and never got pregnant ! Until we started trying

@Shazia where can you buy this from?

Has to be a prescription through your gynecologist! I told mine I wanted a hormone free birth control. It’s called Phexxi . My sister in law told me about it, so I told my doctor if she can prescribe it to me and she sent it to my pharmacy

With my insurance it’s free

Just be careful w the gels and spermicides they completely change the Ph levels of the vagina killing off sperm cells by changing PH, and making you more susceptible to vag problems so if you are someone that already has recurring vag problems like thrush or UTI or have regular sex I wouldn’t use that. If you don’t have any current vag problems and don’t have regular sex (say, once a week) it’s okay to use. Or use as backup on/near ovulation days but still don’t let him cum inside if you can

Yeah I agree with Kellie I didn’t have problems vag problems, and we wouldn’t have sex everyday lol just a few times a week or 1-2 and it was ok for me !
