First time mom Christmas gift ideas?

I know it's a little early to be talking Christmas. But I give birth next month to our first child, and as I prep for maternity leave mentally and financially, Christmas gifts are on my mind, so I can gradually buy for our celebration this year. Anyways, we are doing a gift exchange with my in-laws and am wondering what some things are to put on my list of ideas for myself. What were some things you moms wished for, or wanted for Christmas that was for you and not for baby? Thanks in advance for the suggestions! 🤗

Not very festive, but Uber eats or skip the dishes gift cards came in very hand in the first few months after birth.

@Genevieve ah dang that would be such a great idea! But we live on an acreage and don't get food delivery where we live. Thank you for the suggestion though! I'll recommend it to my friend who also just had a baby and lives in town.

Anything to help you relax! After giving birth, even a few months into motherhood, having a little time to yourself whilst the baby naps & somebody is able to take over for a little while helps. Having a nice pamper then getting into some new pj’s, I appreciated being gifted bath sets/facial sets & comfy pj’s to lay in the house in afterwards! I also lived in comfortable tracksuit sets, so some in a suitable size for after birth. Even a snack hamper to graze on - sweet treats never go a miss when you need refuelling!

Snacks and all the comfy things! Also, I personally would love an electronic picture frame to document all the awesome things you have done and for all the new pictures to come

That’s actually a very good question.. I had my first son in October and now pregnant with baby #2 (another boy) due in December 😅 I’m actually gonna look into what I would like and add it into my registry. Thank you for the idea!

A spa session, massage, nails or a subscription to start pp recovery with pilate or whatever you may like for you after having baby.

Bath salts. Time to myself. Midnight snacks (protein bars, nuts, trail mix) or hydrating drinks for when it's baby feeding time (i loved flavored aloe water). A really compfy glider rocker with gliding footstool because you spend a lot of time in it and might as well be comfortable. I had all hard floors, so I liked soft socks with grippy bottoms. Hydrating face masks. Really good hand lotion because I washed them a lot after having a baby.

My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year the other day and I’ve made a few suggestions to him - • Spa voucher so I can get a treatment or 2 followed by some time using the spa facilities and a cheeky lunch maybe? • Favourite perfume • Any jewellery you want? Necklace, earrings, bracelet etc. • A voucher for your favourite clothing store • Personalised recipe book (I love cooking and baking so he’s getting me a personalised recipe book so I can use it for my own recipes and then pass down to our daughter • Snack / Drink hamper • Comfy PJ’s and Slippers • Candles • Handbag

@Yaz yeah my husband and I give eachother ideas all the time. Doesn't mean you have to stick to it. But things we want change often. And we never have much that we need. We also do secret Santa gift exchanges with family every year. So we all give each other lists of suggestions. Especially since we don't live close so we never know what they may need without ideas. We are the type of family that doesn't want random junk that we will just give away or re sell. We want things we know we will use.
