I’ve been using this as my only form of birth control since 6 weeks postpartum. My boy is 9 months and I’m not pregnant so it must be working good 😂 anyways on a more serious not it’s very easy to use and isn’t uncomfortable at all, it’s also hormone free which I like since I am Breast feeding. Only downside is that some hours later the liquid seems to all leak back out so make sure you have a pantry liner/ pad on after using it other then that it’s great :)

Also make sure you get the gel! One time I accidentally bought the film by mistake and it’s horrible not my thing at all you need to use it 3 hours before having sex ? Like that is so dumb to me how do you know 3 hours in advance like just so silly lol but super uncomfortable so ya just make sure you get the gel the packages just look so similar it’s easy to make a mistake 🫣

I loved this stuff! Before I started having kids this really helped. Gotta make sure you put it as deep as you can especially if your guy is longer 🍆 my hubby said a few times he would get a slight burning/stinging in the opening of the top of his penis. But it worked really well for us! The gel was SOOO much easier than the films, just like putting in a tampon

Now that I’ve finally been able to get an IUD (between insurance, menstrual cycle scheduling, and my cervix just plain saying NO it was a struggle) I haven’t used it of course, but if im not ready to go back to the iud after replacing this one I would definitely use my unopened stash of VCF (I bought a box not five days before realizing I was already pregnant a second time lmao 🤦🏽‍♀️)

My midwife told me not to use long term or as only contraceptive as it can thin lining of uterus. It worked well for us.

Worked great for us. We used it for about a year before we got pregnant after one time of not using it lmao

Spermicide in theory works as it should. But too much use of this regularly will affect your vaginal PH levels as it’s literally adjusting the PH to kill sperm cells so the vagina is in a state where it kills them off but while doing that, it’ll change your PH levels making the vagina more susceptible to UTI BV and thrush etc.

Just remember even though it is a option to prevent pregnancy spermacide is only 70% effective. It doesn't kill sperm, it prevents it from reaching the egg by blocking your cervix.
