Potty training- travel

I have a query around what to do with an upcoming long car travel. My daughter (3yo) is currently going through potty training and doing well so far. She’s wearing nappy only at nap and night. Rest of the times she wears pants without pull ups or knickers. We have an upcoming car journey, whilst I plan to take breaks in between , we still haven’t reached that stage where she will wait for us to stop the car at a proper place for me to take her to the toilet or use a potty. Can I put her in nappy during the journey ? Has anyone done this and not ruin the practice ? Please share your experiences! Thanks

Motorway nappy we call it!

Yes it's fine I just said to my LG this is so you can have wee wee in car incase we can't stop

Thanks lovely ladies.. I was really confused what to do!!

Had the same. Our LO was potty trained for a few months but we did drive from the Czech Republic to the UK. We explained to our little one that nappy was only exception for a long journey and she was completely fine with this and after

Nappies on top of pants :) avoids the confusion and you explain that its a long journey and can’t stop to have wees

I got my little boy some potty training pants from Aldi. They're just like underwear but with some absorbent padding, so they hold little accidents or small wees. We use them for when in the car and he's done really well with them - no confusion! They're called "Bambino Mio" so maybe check your local Aldi for some! Here's the link to their website as well bc you can buy online too. https://www.bambinomio.co.uk/collections/potty-training

Nappy definitely.

Honestly I was dreading a 4hr car journey with my newly potty trained daughter but she surprised me - no accidents, 1 toilet stop with potty in back of car ( bribed by a treat ). Get a car seat protector and spare clothes and go for it!
