I have started a new job not long ago and it’s just not for me the hours are ridiculous at the time it said part time but it isn’t at all I have asked to leave a little bit earlier to pick my little girl up from school and it’s been denied. What do I do please I am just stressed and in tears 😭 this isn’t what I signed up for at all I am stressed.

Sorry you’re going through this love. I would try and have a conversation with the manager and explain the job isn’t as advertised and if that doesn’t go well go above them. Do you have a union also? Get them involved!

Could you make a formal request for flexible working?

I’m sure it’s illegal for certain places to refuse stuff when it comes to childcare, it is in my job anyway
