NIPT

Hello! So I have my NIPT testing today including gender! I was curious if anyone has had this done already? If so how did it go and what happens? Is there anything I should do to prepare? My friend told me they took like six vials of blood? Is that true? I'm pretty good with getting my blood drawn but am worried about passing out or something of that sort. Tyia!

I haven’t had it yet but I had it with my other pregnancy and drink some water before you get the blood drawn that always helps me

they take one vial of blood.. your friend probably got a full panel of blood work done at the same time as her NIPT so that's why they took more.

@Michelle ooo good to know! I already had a full blood panel at my first visit a couple weeks ago so had blood tests for all the other things. Hoping it will be quick and easy then!

How long for the results anyone know?

@Joanna think it depends on the company. I went though Natera and was told 7-10 business days

@Joanna I did mine yesterday and was told a week!

Mine was supposed to be on Monday, but the doctor said oh I can’t find the heartbeat. I’m like well yeah because I’m fat and that little machine’s not gonna find it right now I’m only like 11 weeks.Lol He said he had to send me out to get dating ultrasound first (which I did today) and then he’ll do it but my next appointment is not until four weeks so I’m kind of annoyed.
