Depo shot and period question

After having my son, I've been on the depo shot (about 10 months now), and i was told I wouldn't get my period while in the shot. About 2 months ago, I got a sort of period. It lasted over 2 weeks, but I was just spotting every day, nothing heavy, or period like, and mild cramps. I started cramping again but heavier than last time, but I've been feeling nauseous, so I'm not sure if this is normal with the shot, a possible period starting, or if I should take a test just in case. The only way I knew I was pregnant with my son was because I had sore breasts (bf so I do often), cramps, and late period. If you've been in the shot, is this normal with you? Does anyone else have any advice or suggestions?

When I got my first round of depo post partum, I had my period for 4 months straight. No cramps just the bleeding but I was still very irritated and annoyed. Apparently it’s supposed to be better after a year taking its course. You can still take a test for an ease of mind but yeah I felt the exact same, I did have cramps at the Beginning and occasionally every few days or so but not the whole time, and my last round of depo my period was also late, didn’t help because of the phantom kicks but then i remembered I haven’t even had sex since before my son was born 😂😂

Welcome to the worst experience of your life! I was on the depo 4/5 years and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy! I’m not going to go deeply into it here but save yourself now and go onto some other form of contraception asap! Message me if you want to know more but it is a pretty long story

I was on depo and I was bleeding/ spotting for a whole year . Doctor couldn’t do much either besides prescribe me the pill to get my cycle back on track. Depo is hands down the worst form of birth control. Not to mention the horrible cystic acne I got as well .

@Katie, I'll message you
