Nexplanon
Is anyone/has anyone been on nexplanon now or in the past? Just looking for some advice! I’m getting the implant procedure done on September 25th and I am nerrrrvous lmao. I’ve heard so many things, breakthrough bleeding especially. I was told by my OBGYN that I can take motrin and it will ease up bleeding a bit if it persists. Has anyone tried that either? I’m excited to not have to take a pill every day, but I’m wondering how everyone’s experiences were with it, negative or positive. Please let me know!

I had the implant for 3 years!! I got it taken out when we started TTC. I had a great experience with nexplanon, I was on my period the day that I got the implant put in, when I woke up the next day it was completely gone. Over the course of those 3 years I spotted only a handful of times, and never for more than a day or so. I loved my nexplanon and had no noticeable side effects. If I do get back onto birth control that would probably be my first option!

Hey. I had the implant for 2 months and then demanded it was taken out. I bled the entire time, it made me really psychotic. I gained a lot of weight. However my friend has had the implant replaced 3 times and swears by it, doesn’t have any bleeding and no side effects. The nurse who took mine out said it was a 50/50 chance of whether it works for you or not
