Potty training

What are yall doing about going out while potty training? I really love taking my son to the park but we go to doesn’t have restrooms and we’re only just starting potty training so he’s not communicating when he needs to go just yet nor is he enjoying it.

A reward system (stickers, chart etc ) can help when trying to get kids to enjoy and desire potty training. There’s also a woman that shares how she potty trains, and I think it’s a week she stays home and has her child go every 15 mins. When we go to the park or travel, we have a collapsible potty in the trunk that has bags so you don’t have to clean it (we have an SUV- back seat works too).

Hi!! I just finished potty training, my baby is 25 months and I took the course of big little feelings really help!! We where able to go out after 3 days of training, and we bring the “one proud toddler”toilet seat and a travel potty with us this last one we bought on Temu

I’d just stick with the pull up or diaper when you go out if he can’t communicate when he needs to go quite yet! The best thing to do is to try to push potty training when you have a long weekend at home and can stay at home near the toilet. I wouldn’t stress yourself too hard by trying to get him to go in public places quite yet, just put your focus at home until it starts to stick!

@Lex unfortunately I can’t afford to take a week off work. And I’ve tried reward systems but they do more work with him at all. This is my second time trying to potty train him, the first time did not work as I didn’t have the help I needed. He’s in daycare now and his teacher is doing such a good job with him. But when he’s home with me, he completely refuses and throws the biggest fit. Which is how it was the first time and I’m not sure what to do about that cause he gets so excited to go at school

Also how long do yall keep them on the potty for?

i stick with the pull up when out as we just recently started potty training and he doesn’t talk to communicate that he has to go.

We bought a travel potty for when we go out. At home he’s fully trained, no accidents. But when we go out he’s too distracted to tell me, or doesn’t give enough time to get to the bathroom so the travel potty has been great. We have the OXO 2-1 go potty.

Well, I don’t have a boy, but I have a girl and we just started potty training too. I don’t do stickers or toys or none of that nonsense. I just turned going into the potty into a big deal jumping clapping.
