When did you decide on names?

I am 11 weeks and don’t know gender but we already have pretty much decided on a name for both. I am wondering how many of you all went with the name you had decided early on or if it changed after you saw baby/later in pregnancy?

Soon as I found out lmao 🤣 Had spoken About them before and I’ve stuck with all 3 of my babies names xx

I decided for definite on boy & girls name straight away. Until, I found out the gender and instantly I hated the name I picked😂

i was convinced i was having a boy so my bf and i came up with a boy name we really loved almost right away and he thought of a girl name weeks after that but once i got the confirmation it was a girl the name he chose didn’t feel right so i decided on a variation of that name and kept the middle name he chose but even after that i wasn’t fully set on the name until very recently (ill be 28 weeks friday) and some people don’t even decide on until birth. i’m hoping i wont feel like changing my mind again 🙈

I chose pretty early on and then used the name to much and changed it the second bubz was born

My final choice name wasn't until I was laying in the bed waiting to be induced

Before i got pregnant 🙈

My LB had no name for 4 days 🙄

We started making a list for both as soon as we found out we were expecting them when we found out gender we decided on one and actually needed up going with the one I have wanted to use since I was little, so our little one is named after my grandpa 💙

We picked my oldest's name at around 18 weeks. My partner doesn't like to discuss names until we know gender, so we found out at 16 weeks, discussed options for a couple weeks, and decided without too much trouble. We stuck with it and I still love it, it fits my son perfectly. With my second we found out the gender at 20 weeks and started discussing names then, but couldn't agree on literally even one single option until 2 days before I gave birth. We actually picked the middle name while I was in labor 😂

My eldest’s name got added to the list when I was like 38 weeks, and we didn’t find out the gender so had a few options for either sex to then decide when she was born. My youngest her name was on the list pretty early but again didn’t know the gender and had a shortlist to pick from!

We were 100% set on Albie for the first 12 weeks and then suddenly switched to Louie and that stayed his name through the whole pregnancy. My daughter’s name we’ve had picked out since even before pregnancy and she’s due in 5 weeks and we haven’t changed our minds x x

I had a huge list of names but couldn’t decide til a few hours after giving birth. I chose her name after I looked at her

I’m 33 + 2 and we still haven’t decided on any names. We are waiting til she is here and see what fits her face xx

We had names picked out by 6 weeks. At the 20 week scan when we found out we were having a boy, we both realized we didn't actually like the boy name we picked. Took us another week to come up with a new name.

My husband is boring and has very different taste than I do. I let him pick 3 names he liked and then I ended up picking the one I could tolerate. I picked the middle name, which she’ll be able to go by if she decides she likes it better than her first name.

Girls name picked out for like 10 years and a boys name picked out more recently we struggled picking a boys name aha don’t know what I’m Having kind

I knew her name before I was pregnant. We could only agree on a girls name and thank goodness it was a girl because we couldn’t agree on 1 boy name

picked my eldests name at 13 weeks only had a boy name in my mind and when i found out he was a boy i bought all personalise things straight away everyone told me not to incase i changed my mind but never changed it that was always his name. Im pregnant a second time and i had both boy and girl names picked out before i even fell pregnant and i know 100% i wont change that name neither just have no middle name yet! picking names was super easy for me as my partner has always said i can choose the name since im the one pushing them out🤣

I chose my sons name before I was even pregnant. I have names picked out for this one too. 🫶🏻

For our first son my partner already had a name for him that was pre set. With our current pregnancy and now second son we had to get creative with the name because we thought it was going to be a girl but was wrong.

We had 2 names we couldn’t decide on then when she arrived we know what we wanted her to be called :)

With my first, we had chosen a girls and boys name before we found out at 16weeks This time I’m 28weeks with a girl and we still haven’t decided, we narrowed it down to 2 and haven’t mentioned it again in weeks, getting abit nervous about it actually 😂😂 xx

With my first I saw her name in a dream of mine and that was it. My second I've always liked the name and it suited with my first. However, being pregnant with my 3rd and I feel I'm having a boy I'm so stuck. Boys names are so much harder to choose, I was spoilt for choice with girls lol
