Potty training !

Arghh it is so stressful that my 3 year old is still not potty trained , I’ve removed the nappy and it’s just constant accidents . Sometimes she won’t even sit on the toilet/potty she literally has a melt down when I tell her to sit on the toilet sometimes. Helpppp !

My 3 year old has a meltdown every time I mention going on the Potty. He's too big for the portable potty so he has to sit on the one you put on top of toilet rim. Honestly I can see a looong road ahead for us 😭 x

Yep we been going for 6 months now still has accidents every day 😢

It’s so tough. The things I found helped my almost 3 year old were - - Asking him if he’d like to “help” me/my husband go to the loo whenever I needed to go, even if he didn’t want to use the potty himself, he saw me going but without the pressure of him having to go. I’d always emphasise how much better I felt after going too 😂 - Reading books about using the potty, there’s loads on Amazon but we liked Pirate Pete - A sticker reward chart, using really jazzy stickers he hadn’t seen before - LOADS of praise each time he went on the potty, maybe even the odd choc button too! It will defo click soon! Keep going and be persistent. Took around one month in total for us xx

Potty training is the #1 reason my daughter is gonna be an only child. 😂 Some kids just don't take to it easily. What helped my daughter be willing to sit on the potty was giving her dry-erase markers, putting her up there backwards, and letting her draw on the lid.

I tried at 3 for 2 months. Evertime she went on the potty she got a chocolatechip, she just didn't care.. Then, I researched online and realized she might not be ready. She didn't stay dry for long periods. She was so not interested. She didn't have regular poops. So I stopped, which sucked, but I needed a break anyway. When she turned 3.5, she was definitely ready and potty trained pretty well, and rewards really helped her. https://www.whattoexpect.com/toddler/potty-training/signs-of-readiness.aspx

I'm in the same boat my little boy just doesn't care that his nappy is wet or dirty and doesn't show any obvious signs when he's going
