Career

So my baby is 5 months old and I’m a first time single mom with a dead beat baby father. I’m thinking about joining the military so that my baby can get a better life with benefits by the time I retire my baby will be 20 years old. I don’t want to leave my baby alone with anyone for the first year of her life but I have to do what I have to do. The boot camp training is for 8 weeks.

I would never judge a mom at all but i think you should wait until your baby is 1 yo 5 months is a little too soon remember babies grow fast! You will feel like you missed the baby stage

Thanks I needed this advice

I was a child of a dad in the reserves, he loved it but it was very hard on our family because he was fulltime medical plus the 2 weekends a month two weeks a year. But I will say, it brought him great joy, he would have done it full time but I’m one of 3 kids and it was too much for my family to handle. He almost got sent to Iran so that’s the only bad part. It depends what your role is.

I'm a stay at home mom and I'm trying to find work as well. I'm trying to find a hospital or a government official job. These jobs have a lot of benefits for there employees. My mom works in a hospital and I was able to go to a sleep a way camp and tutor support with no payment at all.
