Introducing baby pillow and duvet

Has anyone introduced a baby pillow and duvet for their bubbas yet? Now we are entering the colder months I feel like the sleep bags just aren’t enough anymore and am just curious to see if anyone has started to introduce them yet?

My boys had them since January. Never had a problem with the pillow but the duvet to start with was just getting kicked of but now he gets himself under the duvet when he wants to

I haven’t because my little boy still moves around his cot so much at night! The sleeping bags are really snuggy because they’re fitted around them, much warmer than if they kick a duvet off! But if your little one stays still more then a duvet could work too.

We’ve introduced a pillow the last few weeks which she loves. But she’s sleeping well in sleep sacks so I’m reluctant to change that until we need to. She was in sleep sacks all last winter with no issue.

@Katie , @Charlotte - What pillows have you introduced? Any links? I am thinking of introducing it now.

@nimisha https://amzn.eu/d/fD07Hvb You just have to watch the size of the pillow case because they aren’t a ‘normal’ sized pillow

@nimisha literally got the same one as Katie posted above :)

I’ve got that same pillow - haven’t done a duvet since the sleep sacks are working so well. For the pillow though, has anyone felt the SN one? I sometimes find it’s quite bumpy and I have to shake it quite a bit to flatten it out. Do I have a dud?

@Lee Milo seems to fold his in half a lot which does make the insides bunch but one big swing and it’s back to normal only time I’ve ever had a problem with it was when I put it through the washer because he was sick all I’ve it but I smacked it up the wall a few times and it was back to normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Katie thank you 👍🏻😊

@Charlotte perfect. Cool

We’ll stick to sleeping bags until we’re ready for opened cot / toddler bed. But even then, I’m planning to get sleeping bag that have legs and opened for the foot. I was considering a pillow though to start with, as my little girl loves to lay on them. Last winter she was also in sleeping bag and she was fine, so I can’t see why to change it for this winter. Just have to layer up underneath.

Yeah I introduced one when she was around 10 months. She doesn't sleep on the pillow as she goes in loads of different positions before she settles upside down 😂 the duvet all she does is lay on it but I have found even the toddler duvet is still too big for the cot, but she is very much still attached to her fluffy blanky 😂🤦‍♀️

My little boy has had a pillow and duvet since he was 8 months old only way he would sleep x

We brought a cotbed pillow and duvet set from Dunelm, she’s had the pillow in with her for a few weeks now and is still getting the hang of it! She tends to end up the wrong way round most nights 😂 duvet wise we’ve been using the duvet cover at the moment in there with her but will be adding a 4.5 tog duvet into it once it gets a bit colder but that’s based on having no doubts she can get blankets etc off her and I’ll be checking her every 5 mins at first I’m sure 😫

My in laws brought an Ikea one https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/len-pillow-for-cot-white-80028509/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&utm_campaign=shopping_feed&utm_content=free_google_shopping_clicks_Children%27sIKEA We were going to trial it this weekend but curious if anyone else has any opinions on this?
