Working from home.

I have an almost 2 year old and one in the way. I'm sick of not working but my toddler has a disability and I don't want daycare raising the new one when she's born. Basically I'm just asking, does anyone work from home? What do you do? How do I go about finding work from home? Every time I try googling it, I just get what looks like scam after scam. I just want to know where the legitimate jobs are dammit 😂

IT firms. If you have a background in IT or computer science. You can easily get jobs that are total remote.

I do corporate work from home however a requirement of me being able to do so is that my children are in day care during the day (obviously if they’re sick I can keep them home and only take carers/sick leave for the hours I have to) but I think you’ll find most organisations will expect the same 🤍 If you’re set on not having them in care, maybe you could look into a baby sitting gig or even pamphlet delivery and you take the kids with you?

I am a tech consultant. Work from home and go in for team offsites only. I was full time but moved to part time as my son is undergoing allergy treatment and I needed more time with him. But I also have a nanny who looks after my son and clear separation (upstairs/downstairs) from my toddler. I need to be on video calls all day so I am pretty much 8 hours away and try not to come up and disrupt what the nanny is doing if that makes sense. Otherwise my toddler would get too upset. If your toddler has a disability you may also be able to get NDIS funding to pay for a nanny btw.

I work from home majority of the time as an analyst for a bank. The job is too complex with set deadlines so we still rely on day care

Go to seek and search for "wfh" and take a look at the jobs on offer to see if any match your skills

I work from home but like the others, I have my girl in daycare so that I can focus. Honestly I don’t think there are that many wfh jobs that can be done properly while still looking after your kids at home… that’s why being a stay at home mum is like a full time job. Perhaps your best option is to try to start your own online business based off a personal interest - so that you have flexibility with hours, no hard deadlines and a boss to answer to? Best of luck x

I WFH full time but my kids are in daycare. The vast majority of jobs you can't do while raising your kids. Being a sahm is a full time job already.
