Not coping with weaning

I’m not coping with weaning. Does anyone know if there’s any support for parents out there? someone who will come to my house and watch me feed my baby and give advice??

It's really tough isn't it, I was so looking forward to weaning but it's harder than I anticipated as it's a whole extra task 2/3 times a day and some days my boy eats hardly any of what I make him. My local children's centre offer weaning workshops for parents, I don't think the support workers come to your house but you can go in with your baby and get advice/tips. Might be worth speaking to your health visitor and your local children's centre if you have one

I feel exactly the same as you. I really think there should be ‘weaning cafes’ where we can go, where there’s support on hand etc. I’m weaning on my own and feel like it’s a constant source of stress and anxiety!

Don't get stressed just give your baby lots of different tastes my baby only eats porridge and fruits at the moment. I have done BLW and spoon feed to but up until 1 years old its fun with food. If your baby is getting what they need from there milk they are good and doing well. Some days are good days and some aren't the based at weaning, but iam not getting stressed about it anymore x

@Emma I’ve gone through times of being more relaxed about it and then I get stressed after a while that we’re still not making progress. He doesn’t want to be spoon fed but when he tries finger food he takes too big a bite and can’t cope with it so he’s basically eating nothing. I cannot cope with the finger foods and him taking such big bites. I try to stay calm but I physically can’t at times and my anxiety is through the roof.
