NIPT

Has anyone had the NIPT done yet? If so, did it tell you the gender? I'm only 8 weeks but I see that you can get it done at 10 weeks. I'm just really anxious and want to know the gender lol

Had mine drawn 2 days before my 10 week mark. Anxiously waiting for the results!

@Terri lynn oh, so exciting!!!

I had it done at about 11 weeks with my first 2 pregnancies. Both were accurate on the gender. And very detailed with the rest of the info. Still have a few weeks to go with this babe.

Yes you can get it done between 9 and a half to 10 weeks I get mine done next Tuesday This will be my second one my first one it was correct It gives you a lot more information about your baby as well As gender

@Sky - which company did you use?

@Terri lynn My OB office uses Natera.

@Terri lynn did you OB have to give you a referral

@Ashley did your ob give you a referral

@Allison Monique - because I’m over 35 it’s considered standard. So they drew it at my OBs office and sent it out.

@Allison Monique My OB Is in the same hospital they do in patient and outpatient lab work and send it out my insurance pays a 100% Since I'm over 35 I'm not sure how much other insurance would pay if you're under 35 I would call your insurance company and see what they do pay and what they don't pay

As far as I know, your OB office has to be the one to order it, draw your blood for you & send it out to the company. It's not just some little gender test, it's genetic testing.

I'm doing my nipt test tomorrow. With my last pregnancy it showed gender along with basic genetic screening. My OB does the lab work there and sends it out. Last time I got results back in 4 or 5 days.

My OB office is doing it at my second appointment. I’ll be like 11 weeks I think

I’m doing NIPT next Monday at 10 weeks 4 days and will get the genetic results, including the baby’s sex, about a week after. At least that’s the expectation my OB gave me

@Heather dang! That is fast! I wish they’d put a rush on mine like that. I was told two weeks!

The later you can do it (closer to 12 weeks) the better so you can get a higher fetal fraction % for the most accurate results on the genetic portion (which is the main purpose of the NIPT!)

Mine is scheduled for 11 week
