The pill to the coil

So I’ve been on the pill since I gave birth June last year, but I hate it, I think I want to change to the coil… has anyone been on the coil or swapped from the pill to the coil… any pros or cons of the coil?

LOVEEE the coil! Had it in for nearly 2 years now. Previously had it for 5 years until i got it removed for second baby. No period, might spot every few months for a day maximum. Do get some cramps every so often. Theres no having to remember a tablet aswell😂

@Kiera do you have to check if it’s still in or anything? Or do they just put it in and you leave it in until you want to take it out?

I get my partner to check the threads every few months when I remember😂 But I didn’t with my first coil though cause I felt a little weird about it🫣xx

I’ve never taken the pill but can second the vote for the coil. My last one got stuck right before we went into Covid lockdown and that did stop us trying for a baby for a year or so (until the nhs resumed some normality and could schedule me surgery to have it removed) BUT I’d still do it again. No periods, no worry. It was perfect for me!
