Unpopular opinion?

I think all systems, schemes etc should be reevaluated regularly.

I work 42 hours a week and I’m currently worrying about how I’m going to be able to survive on maternity leave and my partner is going to have to do extra hours when I’m gonna be at home with twins. The system is a mess

On UC now they won’t pay you if you don’t work unless there is a reason to such as being carers/disabilities, child with disabilities etc. If your child is over 3 and you don’t work just cause you can’t be arsed, they won’t pay you x Could this not be why they don’t work? The car could be a motability car possibly?

I don’t work but not from choice I have terrible anxiety. I’ve had about 15 jobs in 6 years everyone Ive had I’ve had panic and anxiety attacks. I receive UC but I don’t have any nice things don’t have nice car because I can’t drive as can’t do the lessons and don’t go on holiday all the time we go once a year if we can. My partner works full time and I stay at home with our two children. I do the school runs, housework, food shopping etc.

@Kiera they laugh about claiming for disabilities for one and the other a carers, yet they party, afford designer gear Kids head to toe designer gear (not knock offs!) Festivals Drugs luxury lives you get my drift they milk what they can But the cars are billion percent not mobility lol flashy sports cars

I had a neighbour who was on the fiddle and whilst me and my husband were working 12+ hours a day to get our business established she’d invite me to go here there and everywhere. Used to do my nut in. She’d say “you need a holiday, why don’t you book with us for next week” and she’d have no understanding of how that wasn’t possible in the slightest for us! We managed to buy our own home and move, upgrade our cars and now have 2 beautiful children and our business is thriving. We’re still in contact with her and she asked me the other week “how did you do it?!” And my response was “HARD FKN WORK LOVE” 😩😩😩

@Kiera I was thinking more like they’ve probably been dealing naughty stuff 😂 but none of them seem to have a brain cell between them to be fair unless that’s an act 🤔

Thank you 😅 we’ve had a few holidays but still find it hard leaving a business behind so they are few and far between! Hard work pays off though. Can’t stand this generation of “money for nothing” attitude 🥴

I doubt they're doing all that just from benefits. Probably doing something you're not aware of.

@Natalie they claim disability for both their kids Idk it could be possible but then again the stuff they have is unbelievable House looks like a palace something out of a magazine Then you get people who work full time jobs struggling to only just cover their bills Everything seems back to front in England I swear

They could be getting 400 for them, 330 per kid, 450 per kid if they’re highly disabled, 400 for both being carers and then rent paid (maybe). Thats like 2k a month with no rent, madness. But then again if the children are highly disabled it must be tough x Plus it may just all be a front, probably in masses of debt to afford their Chanel and Porsches😂🙃

The list just goes on but how is it not obvious they are milking the system Hard working people need rewarding stress free life like those people claiming benefit fraud

I had an old friend laugh and say “you’d have an easier life if you just stopped working”… like no, you only have an easier life BECAUSE people work. Literally to my face said childcare wasn’t that expensive whilst I’m paying over £1000pcm for 2 days of nursery and she’s getting discounts galore. Not in the real world for sure.

@Sarah I’ve literally had exact the same said to me it’s so infuriating ! The cheek of it they don’t even understand the struggle !

I would love to know how they do that? I live on UC and I can barely afford to breathe. Once my rent bills and groceries are paid there’s barely enough left for anything else. They must be doing something else on the sneak! Just to clarify I’m not working due to pregnancy related issues, I’m high risk for a number of reasons and my partner suffers with severe back problems due to being a mechanic his entire working life, bending over bonnets of cars for 12 hours a day takes a toll apparently. We are both desperate to get back into work, we’re a) bored and b) fed up of being broke constantly! Yes our bills are paid but that’s it, no room for luxuries, of any kind. We’ve given up or cancelled everything possible and still barely make ends meet. It irritates me that people manage to live that way when they obviously fiddling the system somehow! Infuriating! 😡😡😡

@Kiera you're right, you hardly get anything if you're not working!

How can you be so sure that all of this is not on credit? There's no way they get enough to fund all of this in cash, even if they do get disability for their kids.
