Potty training

Anyone considered potty training at 18 months? My LO tells me when she's done a poo in her nappy so I see that as a sign she might be ready. Any tips on how to do this?

My personal opinion is to wait until you see more signs than one. At this age is a little bit tricky. They must be able to tell you before she needs to go so you don’t need to pressure her with questions. She might get frustrated and making this process more difficult. But if you really want to start , there are books with tips and advice about this subject 😊😊

We didn’t have any signs at all, just a potty in the room for when she was ready. We started 15 months and girl is 19 months now and absolutely amazing at it! Don’t doubt them until you give it ago xx

Mine tells when he’s done a poo and sometimes even before. We took that as a sign and tried to make him sit on a potty seat a couple of times but he just hates it and won’t stay there even for a few seconds so we’ve stopped for now

You could get a potty and continue to use positive language that it's her potty, and teach 'I need'.. 'Oh crap it's potty training' (or similarly worded) is a good book for parents.
