Currently organising my baby’s first birthday. Majority of the kids coming are a lot older so im organising a kids corner with things they can do like party games, colouring etc and party bags they can use throughout the day to preoccupy them
Kids table with coloring pages, crayons, snacks and juice boxes. Kids can just chase and throw balloons. I wouldn’t do an entertainer cause they don’t have the attention span lol. You could try a soft play area. They have them to rent by me. My daughter tried a bouncy house for the first time at 2 and loved it.
We held my sons 2nd and 3rd birthday parties in our village hall, Bouncy castle was a big hit with all the kids. I did party bags that included a mini colouring book, crayons, bubbles, bouncy balls and slinkies. Lunch bags were sandwiches (I contacted all the parents beforehand to give them the option of Ham, cheese or Jam) packet of crisps, piece of fruit, a freddo and a fruit shoot. I only fed the kids but had tea, coffee and biscuits for the adults. I also made a play list of Disney songs on my phone and took a speaker to play music. At that age they’ll just enjoy running around with each other and balloons. and if you give them the party bags with their lunch then they can play with those bits after as well

@Sophia definitely! That’s why we did it again for his 3rd birthday as they’d all enjoyed it so much at his 2nd!
2 is definitely too young for pass the parcel, I wouldn't have any structured games, just activities for them to do
If you don’t want a cake, what about getting cupcakes and put into individual boxes and people can take those away instead of party bags? Or cake pops? If you are having loads of kids, I would suggest a baby friendly bouncy casket/ball pit - it keeps the kids entertained and out of your way otherwise they will just run all over the place! I think 2 is too young to have an entertainer and I just think kids that age aren’t going to sit for pass the parcel. You could get those balloon arch kids from Amazon that are really cheap and make your own balloon arch? It will be much cheaper then getting a professional to come in.
