Metformin and Insulin, induction
Hi, just wondering the usual week of induction if your GD is managed with both Metformin and Insulin, I'm a bit of a control freak so being a bit more prepared ia going to keep me a little more sane!

I was on both and increasing my insulin almost weekly. I was scheduled for an induction at 39 weeks but it took a week and she came out on my due date 😂 be prepared for a discussion around it and to push back/question anything you’re not sure of/happy with :)
I’m being induced at 37 weeks with GD and insulin but that’s because I’m having regular uncontrolled hypos now that may be caused by a placenta issue x

It really depends on you and levels lovely. You can still go to 40+6 with controlled levels and everything being well. Some trusts will say 38/39ish and you may not even need to be induced. I'd massively recommend reading up on Sarah Wickman online, she's a midwife and stays up to date on physiological birth etc and advice regarding all interventions xx
