Conceive a girl

Has anyone tried the shettles method or anything else to conceive a girl and it work? We have 2 boys who we love very much but we’d really like to try for a girl when the times right. I understand it’s nothing will 100% lead to conceiving a girl but I’d like to know what’s worked for those who have tried similar gender swaying tips and tricks!

Never heard of it

It's all just myths. Unfortunately, the man decides the gender regardless of when you get pregnant the month the year nothing changes it

The only thing that might sway gender, that's based in any kind of science, is that sperm carrying Y chromosomes are thought to be faster swimmers, so they tend to reach the egg first; sperm carrying double X chromosomes are thought to be more endurance swimmers, so they may reach the egg later, but they live longer. In practice this would mean that if you wanted to conceive a girl, it would make sense to baby dance days before ovulation, because the double X sperm would last longer in the womb. To conceive a boy you'd want to bd right before ovulation because they have a higher chance of reaching the egg first. However this is all very inexact and it's mostly speculative. There is no known way to influence gender, and even if someone says it worked for them, there's no way to know for sure if it actually worked or if it was just lucky random chance.

The older the couple the more likely you are to have a girl. It can go as low as a 1 in 3 chance of having a boy, but you'd have to be over 40 before you get those odds.

@Melissa is right! I looked into it all, too. I really wanted a girl. I decided since there was no way to really sway it just to cross my fingers and say "girl" 100 times lol I lucked out and am having a girl this time! I also have two boys.

Few of my friends did this and swear by it. I did this for my son and it was correct. Trying this cycle for the girl, if it works great and if not I wouldn’t mind another little boy! Just keep in mind it will be harder to conceive since you’re missing the two most important days (peak and ovulation day)
