What does the test look like?

I know a few people. It was my understanding that they had it reinserted around a week before conceiving and I have heard you have to wait awhile after getting it inserted for it to be effective. I have also heard the copper one is less effective an have had mutual friends get pregnant because it was dislodged. It’s always a possibility with any birth control, just not super likely

Test is super faint I can post a pic. But I had mine put in 3 weeks ago & we didn’t wait to start having sex & I took the test because something just wasn’t feeling right. I do not have the copper one tho, I got Paraguard. I took a otk also this morning & it was blaring! But I also had a positive peak a week ago. I’m confused & know I just need to wait & see if my period comes in about 7 days. I have 1 more test & will wait few days to use it.

I can kind of see what you’re possibly seeing. Good news (I assume you don’t want a baby hence the iud) is that it looks like it could be an indent or evap, and blue dye tends to show that more. I would definitely wait until after your period is due since you only have one more test.

Thx Ali yea just had a baby 4 months ago & not too sure we are ready for another right away, I’m more afraid of having a iud in & becoming pregnant & the risks involved

That totally makes sense. I haven’t had a baby yet, but I have heard sometimes your hormones are so out of wack it can affect pregnancy tests. If it doesn’t get darker I would assume you’re safe 😊 best of luck and congratulations on your new babe 💕

I don't think that's a positive test

I’ll retest in 4-5 days, or wait to see if my period comes back I’ll update this post
