I feel really bloated and gassy and have a pain in one side that comes and goes. Just feeling a bit uncomfortable and a bit anxious!
I'm going to book an early scan becaus3 this week has dragged so I know the next 8 will before we can get scanned lol
@Kay I think I'll book an early one too although I don't know what week I should aim for
They do then from 6 weeks so I'm going to look at 7 weeks
@Kay think I might hold off to 7 weeks to make sure I'm not disappointed
Just be aware that you really can't see much on those really early scans. Sometimes they cause unnecessary worry because it's too early to see a heartbeat etc. Best to wait as long as you can and then you'll have a better experience!
If you’re going for an early scan try to hang in for 8-9 weeks if you can as you’ll see the heartbeat and get a clearer pic: when you go earlier sometimes they cannot even confirm you’re pregnant yet. P
@Terri @Jen can't believe I didn't know this!!! I just want to know everything is in the right place and whatnot. Maybe I'll hold off a bit 🙈
Jen is very much right. I wouldn't want you to stress because you can't see things. You would be able to check that the baby has implanted in the right place but often you can't see a heartbeat early on. I would imagine that is massively upsetting so I would wait. There is a reason the NHS scan at 12 weeks. There is lots more to see!
I had a scan at 6 weeks for my first pregnancy and could see a heartbeat, this time I've booked for 7.5 weeks, anxiety is quite high so personally I wouldn't be able to wait until 12 weeks 🙈 if something is wrong I'd rather be told privately and sooner. Super bloated already too 😅 x
@Tamara Totally get it! Every pregnancy is different though so there is a chance people wouldn't see a heartbeat at that stage, but everything could be fine! It just pays to be aware of that!
@Tamara same I need to know something is there I mean the nausea etc is a sure sign my word bur I think I'll have one about 7 weeks just to put mind at rest
I'm too anxious to wait too long so think I'll prob aim for 8ish weeks. My bloating is insane this time around!
My second pregnancy too, I feel soo anxious but have no symptoms like my first baby! Still sinking in I think 🙈

@Toni I've barely any symptoms, just a bit bloated and crampy. Soooo anxious but havnt told anyone
Same I thought I was just over 6 weeks so went for a scan and they couldn’t find anything 😢 said it could just be too early. So done another test as advised and still says pregnant but showing 2-3 weeks so probably just too early but just made me more anxious now 😢 But I went with my first born at 7 weeks 2 days and was fine. Emotional rollercoaster that’s for sure!
@Toni I'm so sorry you had a horrible experience!! I'm sure everything is fine huni. Just early. I'm not even 5 weeks yet. The thought of waiting another few weeks for a scan is going to kill me
