Peeing, but NOT pooping in the potty

My 2 yr old is doin the same, peein but not poopin in potty Still tryna figure out how to fix this

My daughter struggled with pooping on the potty for a long time. I realized that I wasn’t giving her enough “space” She was really wanting privacy and I was trying to help too much. I started leaving the bathroom and shutting the door and standing outside. She would call me when she was done and I would help assist with wiping. I am not sure if you have tried giving more privacy? But, that was our main issue. Once I stopped hovering…she nailed it!

We had the same issue. We had to give lb something to help to go for a poo then he had an accident on the floor that seemed to help break the barrier for him he was so upset he had an accident he now uses the toilet for both. He still waits until the very last moment to use the toilet for a poo but getting there. We also stopped using pull ups at nighttime as he was waiting for them. It also sends the message poo goes in the toilet. We use washable blankets on his bed for any nighttime accidents which isn’t very often.

My daughter was the same. I read that it feels like they are loosing a limb. Talk to them about the digestion system and that poop is waste that the body doesn't need. My daughter held in poop and I just put a pull up on when I saw the signs and gave her time to get it out. It had no negative impact on her potty training

Yesterday, after sitting on the potty my son stood up, flushed the toilet and pooped on the floor right next to the potty. Good job, Buddy. So close... No help, just wanted to share. 🤗

Thanks mamas!!! And, right after I posted this, he was outside with his Dad playing, and said "I have to poop". He immidiately pulled down his pants, squatted and pooped!! I'll take it!!!!!!!

we have the same situation it has been going on for months we have tried everything! hopefully he will do it soon!
