Announcing on social media

Is it too early to post an announcement of pregnancy on social media? I will be 10 weeks 2 days tomorrow. I have told all my family, bestfriend and work. I don't really mind people knowing since I'm super excited but I do always have the worry that I'm going to share early and something could still happen. I did take some announcement photos today which I'm really excited to share I just don't know.

You have the right to share your joy and you should. It’s a miracle. Your baby’s life should be celebrated for as long as you can.

Whenever you feel it’s right!! I personally am waiting but if you are ready to share then absolutely share!! ❤️

@Candyce thank you for the reply! I honestly hadn't thought about it that way I've been so worried and full of anxiety that I forget to also be excited and enjoy the happiness of my baby 🥰

I’ve been in the same boat! I’ve told everyone I’d like to know before publicly announcing on social media, but am so excited to share the news! I will be 9 weeks tomorrow but am announcing this evening!

Announce when you feel you're ready! My 1st I didn't announce til 2 months before she was due. My 2nd we announced when I was 6 months along, and with the 3rd, we are announcing in a couple weeks when I'm 12 weeks so it really all depends on when you feel it's right with your pregnancy (:

Congratulations

Share whenever you feel comfortable to! I shared my first and this pregnancy after my first appointment so I was like 7 weeks. Told family and friends when I was like 4-5 weeks.

Just base it on how you feel if something were to happen and how you would handle telling people then. Would you post on social, or risk repeated unintentional comments and questions about a pregnancy that ended? Personally, my first pregnancy ended in mc. I hadn't posted publicly, but had told family, work, and close friends pretty much as soon as I found out, then miscarried a few weeks later. For me it wasn't devastating, but I still chose to wait longer for subsequent pregnancies and go by the typical end of first trimester timing for a public announcement when the risks drop considerably. This time waiting until after the NIPT test results to even tell the kids (so I'll be 11-12 weeks) and later for even close family, but we moved out of state and I work remotely now so it's easier :)
