Same here at 25 weeks! I’ve been told that it MAY be a sign of gestational diabetes so definitely check with your midwife at your next appointment. I plan to do the same 😊
I personally have done the diabetes test last week - all good, blood sugar in normal range. I guess it’s due to hormone and/or increased blood flow. But yes, it’s good to talk to midwife as indeed can be a sign (less common)
Thank you! I’ll definitely mention it to my midwife then but don’t see her for another month
I would ring your midwife or pregnancy unit and explain about the dry mouth. I thought it was a normal pregnancy symptom but turned out to be gestational diabetes. I have only been making diet changes for 5 days and the dry mouth has stopped. Normally you get offered the test around 26-28 weeks so even if you could book it in to be safe.
Yes me too! 😫
I have the exact same problem and it’s been driving me nuts. I’m 32 weeks and I have no idea what I can do to stop it! I’ve been tested for gestational diabetes and my test came back fine. It’s been getting worse the last few weeks and I can’t drink during the night because I’ll have to wake up to go to the toilet and it disturbs my sleep too much but I drink a lot of water in the day and it makes no difference!
Yes - same here. Mostly during the night , I wake up several times with dry mouth and have to drink water, but still thirsty. I think it’s part of the journey 🥹
