Potty time?!

So, a few weeks ago, my boy (20 months old) started telling us when he has pooed and 80% of the time he's right. The other 20% he just wants to go upstairs to play haha. Now he's is telling us while he is actively pooing. Do I get a potty? I never thought to get one this early! He also randomly says wee wee sometimes (not as often as poo) and I don't know how often he's right on that!

I'm in exactly the same situation, my son is 20 months next week. Was thinking exactly the same and unsure it was to early x

Yesss get the potty! Even if he doesn’t use it, it’ll get him familiar with it and just sitting on it (nappy on or off) and encouraging to use it. If he says no then don’t force it as it can cause negative experiences and then hinder their potty training xx

We had the potty for ages and she sits on it when I go so she understands that is something we sit on without nappy but I don't think she understands that is a thing we do poo poo or wee wee. I'd definitely get the potty

The potty has been bought and he sat on it straight away (fully clothed haha) and said wee wee. He's not used it yet, but tried him before bath and he kept saying wee wee, just nothing came out 😂 thanks all!
