Pregnancy announcement help!!

Hi! I am coming up on 9 weeks & getting so excited about my pregnancy. I really want to publicly announce it very soon, but I know 9 weeks is a little early. I’ve heard it’s typical to wait until you’re out of the first trimester to announce it, just because any complications are more likely to occur during the first trimester. I’m just curious as when everyone else went public with their pregnancy? Should I give it a little more time, or is 9 weeks a reasonable timeframe to announce it? Thanks so much in advance!🥰

It’s whenever you feel comfortable announcing it, there’s no right or wrong. I’ve seen people post their positive pregnancy test and people not post until the baby was born. It’s completely up to you

I told all my friends early on, because I knew it anything happened, I would want their support and understanding, which would be harder to then explain if they hadn’t known I was actually pregnant. But didn’t announce anything to colleagues/acquaintances etc til 20 weeks. But yes basically it’s completely up to you! Of course you can announce if you feel ready to!

It is completely up to you lovely! With my first pregnancy we booked an early scan at 8 weeks and then once we knew baby was coming along nicely told everyone however with my second pregnancy (now) we both decided to wait until we’d had our 12 week scan. It was a joint decision to wait a little longer with this second one as it’s following a miscarriage last year but also we decided not to pay for an early scan. Huge congratulations on your pregnancy though!

It’s totally up to you, whenever you feel most comfortable! I waited until 20 weeks because I really didn’t want to 🤣But wanted to put it out there on my own terms before I started showing.

I would announce when you feel its right. There isn’t really any rules for when to share the news! I told my family maybe around at 11 or 12 weeks, and did a pregnancy announcement at 20 weeks. But congrats! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 🥰🥰

It definitely just depends on how you feel I’ve only just started telling family properly and I’m 15 weeks and 2 days and I might tell the rest after my 20 week scan so I know what I’m having

First pregnancy at 12 weeks, second at 16 weeks (but that was only because I was playing the lead in a musical and wanted the show to be over before I announced)

I told the people who I would also want to talk about a miscarriage with, if (god forbid) it were to go that way. So i was happy to tell several close friends and family quite early but i waited till after the first trimester to make a public social media post or anything like that

Do it whenever you feel comfortable! I announced my first to close friends and family at 12 weeks and on social media at 13 or 14 weeks because I wanted to tell all the most important people personally first. With my second we planned to announce after my 12 week scan, but that happened to fall 2 days before my cousin's wedding and I didn't want to take the spotlight, then life just kinda got busy and we didn't get around to it until 17 weeks 😂 I never actually announced to some of my friends and extended family either, so they got a big surprise with the birth announcement. Nothing at all wrong with doing it sooner if you want to though. Congratulations!
