Brushing teeth

Are you all managing to consistently/regularly brush your baby’s teeth even whilst they are teething? My baby’s mouth is so sore for him as he’s teething severely so I’m not managing to brush them at the moment. I feel really guilty and worried about it

When she is teething, she doesn't let me do it for the same amount of time as we usually do it, but at least we do it for a little bit. She knows that is something mandatory, twice a day.

No!! My little boy has been teething (back teeth) for a while and then he got hand foot and mouth so I’ve not been able to get anywhere near his mouth in a few weeks and I feel AWFUL! he has his first dentist appt next week too I’m dreading it 😭 If he doesn’t let me, sometimes I put toothpaste on his brush and let him hold and chew which I suppose is better than nothing! X

I got a battery operated toothbrush on amazon! It's from months up and he loves it even when his wee gums are irritated x

@Christina link please! 🥰

We count it as a success if we are able to get toothpaste in LOs mouth. Then he can rub it around and get a bit of benefit at least.

I am using an electric toothbrush, too, and I forgot to mention it.

When he's teething, which is petty much constantly tbh, we just put the toothpaste on the brush and let him chew it. Gets the the fluoride on the teeth still and gives him a bit of relief.

When we saw our dentist she said at this age even if they chew on it and no brushing happens it’s better than nothing letting the toothpaste go round the mouth / teeth so I wouldn’t worry too much!
