IVF

We have appointment Monday giving us a date I'd hope our ivf would start in next few cycles 🤞 I am 26 and we have mfi. My partner had 1 percent morphology however last semen showed it went up to 4 percent which technically is withing normal limits. Can I ask what your first appointment at the fertility clinic was like. That's what we have Monday x

@Melissa our first appointment was just them doing bloods, BMI, breath test, an internal scan, then the dr went over the scan results and the results of our previous semen analysis, took more medical history for the both of us and then said what treatment we would need which would be IVF, we have another appointment in November which I would assume would give us a date to start xx

Aw brilliant thanks they haven't said they'll be doing any tests for this appointment did they give you a head up? Just so I'm prepared 😆

@Melissa nope lol! I had no idea what to expect. We saw the HCSWs first for us both to be weighed and height, then we went back to the waiting room and the dr called us and I had my internal scan, then we went back to the HCSW and I got bloods for my AMH, then we went back in with the dr straight after this xx

Hi, i had my IVF appointment a few weeks ago. It can take 3-6 weeks after that to start officially, depending on your period and insurance coverage. I have a similar afc (35-45 follicles) and i have to do a freeze all cycle to reduce the risk of OHSS. Just keep that in mind. You might start in December but transfer will most likely be next year especially because of Christmas day and nye break

All the embryos which will make it to day 3 or 5 will be frozen. No fresh transfer. So i will have a FET (frozen embryo transfer) during the next cycle.
