Pee problems
My son is 17 months and recently started sticking his hands down his pants any chance he gets. It’s gotten to the point where he has started to do it in his sleep, and his penis will then stick up and he will be drenched in his own pee. I’ve had to do laundry every day this week to wash his bedding.
I’ve resorted to sticking him back in onesies during the day which has been good- no accidents so far. At night is a different story though. I started putting him in full body sleepers backwards so he can’t unzip himself, but he seems to just fondle his way into peeing all over himself anyway. Any other tricks or suggestions?

My son is doing that now and I’m like get your hands out of your diaper. I asked his pediatrician yesterday and she said it’s normal because they are exploring their bodies and it’s normal at this age to do it
Mine is doing the same, I just keep him in a onesie
Childcare worker for many years. Mine has started to do this too at 18mo. It is completely normal, they learn that they have feeling down there and it's sort of a self stimulation. Noting gross. It's just them exploring their bodies. Best you can do for them is to teach them not to do it in public and deter them. Unless they are in pain it's not really cause for concern that they feel their body out

Omg so i took my son(17 month old) to the pediatrician 3 weeks ago because he keeps scrunching up his security blanket and squeezing it between his legs. I'd check his diaper and his peepee is sticking up. It honestly freaked me out. His pediatrician laughed it off and gave me a "are you serious" look. Then proceeded to NOT tell me if this was normal, or anything at all for that matter. So i kept asking around (other boy moms) and turns out this IS normal behavior? To wanna touch down there? I'm so sorry about the peeing though, that must be so hard to navigate, have you spoken to his pediatrician for a possible way to handle it?
