Has anyone left baby at home while you run errands?

My baby is 3 1/2 weeks old, my mil is amazing with her and I need to run errands tomorrow but I do not want to leave my baby. Even if it is for an hour while she sleeps. It’s over 100 so taking her with me is just ridiculous I don’t want her uncomfortable. My anxiety is normal right????? What would you do?

I would leave baby with MIL who is amazing with her and run errand, and come home asap! I did that this week. Dental appointment and left baby with mom

If your MIL is great with her, I see no problem with leaving her but the anxiety and mom guilt is perfectly normal, I personally took my baby everywhere with me and the first time I left her with my MIL was around 10 months are so lol I just run my errands super early in the morning while it's cool outside. I hate being away from my baby, but I'm sure yours will do just fine! Maybe ask for some pictures while you're away, that's always been soothing to me when I do have to leave her with daddy.

My anxiety was massively high the first time I left my baby with my mother in law and she’s fantastic. Just because I knew how demanding my baby is and all but my mother in law truly became a huge part of our lives because of all the help in the past and now grandma is my little girls favorite person. The bond and love they share for each other is just magical and it gives me a peace of mind that I have someone so great with my daughter so I can run errands. I don’t even worry about her at all now. I know grandmas got it and my girl truly enjoys every second while she’s at it. You’ll get more comfortable as you start trusting her with your baby more and more.

Thanks ladies! I do have a nanny cam set up in the living room so I guess I’ll just be a creeper watching them any/every chance I get.

Girl my daughter is almost 2 and I've only left her with dad for a couple short periods. I hate being away from her. I'm more attached than she is.

yes your anxiety is to totally normal and understandable! the first time i left my baby i had a panic attack even tho i knew she was 1000000% safe but personally what helped me the second time was taking a piece of clothing or just anything that smelled like her to bring me comfort lol ( a little silly i know ) but that really helped as well as asking the person that was watching her is they can send me updates and pictures on her !!! it’s really hard at first but i promise is does get better ❤️
