8m

@aria 🫧 Aria, did your child show signs of readiness at 8m? How did he/she go?

Around 1.5 yr to two yr old

Following so I know too

2 years 10 months old. Accident free after 2 days and I barely had to do a thing, I would always recommend waiting until 2.5 years old plus.

@Kathryn she kept taking her diapers off and she started walking before i started potty training. took her about 2 weeks.

2 years 10.5 months and it was a breeze compared to what I’ve heard younger. Every child is different but I’m glad we didn’t do it earlier

@Luisa same 😭 we tried a month ago when we bought it because he started to keep taking his diaper off, so my husband and I thought to start him early. He’s 15months so I wasn’t sure if he was ready or not.

You’re gonna hear a lot of “oh I started at 1 1/2 they were potty trained by 2” don’t listen to that bs🤣😂🤣😂 real ones will tell you most kids aren’t fully trained or ready til they’re about 3-4. But you can definitely start whenever you feel you want to or they’re showing interest but you gotta be on top of it and reward reward reward

Also I obviously don’t know you or your son personally, but if he is autistic at all my son is and he went through a phase of taking his diaper off as a sensory thing. He didn’t like the feeling of a full diaper on him

Tried it once after 2 yo, didn’t work. Tried again at 3 years and 3 months and little dude had it 100% down in a week.

Coming up to 16 months and I’m thinking about starting to put him on the potty first thing when I do a wee..

22 months and it's going slow. He is the kind of kid who likes things done for him (mil catered to him a lot when she was here)

@Breanna babies can be potty trained by two though so they may be telling the truth.

Mines been sitting on the potty 3 times a day he’s 22months. I just take him there and he’s more than happy to do it but still not actually done anything in the potty 😂🙈

I am going to start putting him on the potty as soon as he can sit upright unassisted so he is used to it. It will make it easier for him to potty train in the long run

@Breanna my son is not autistic, he just likes taking his diaper off if he’s not wearing any pants and when his pants are taken off (heat) he thinks the diaper should ge off too and he starts to just pee as fast as he can and when he gets the chance before we even get to him. But I hear you yeah.
