How to disconnect from work?

I work in a high stress environment. How do you disconnect and be there mentally for your kids when you get home? Even for your stay at home partner? It takes me longer than my 30 min drive home to get in a better mental state. And by then I feel like I haven’t given the best greetings and my partner thinks I’m grumpy for the rest of the evening. It’s then hard to convince him otherwise.
