Bleeding gums

Whenever I floss, my gums bleed a lot but not when I brush my teeth. I was at the dentist today and run it by him and he said it's because I'm pregnant.. wondered if anyone else has this? He said it's so important I keep flossing but it's quite unpleasant and really makes me not want to floss! Thanks in advance

Welll I'm not pregnant and my gums bleed..... infact I do need a check up 🤣 , think that's a bit stupid of him to say 🤔 sometimes it can even be the brush you're using night be to hard on the gums etc

My gums have bled throughout all my pregnancies and they don’t when I’m not 🤷🏻‍♀️

There can also be teeth movement while pregnant too which is why we get free dental while on maternity. It’s due to the relaxin produced for the body to get ready for birth
