I have the implant, had it before I was pregnant and got it again after baby came, it just goes in and you forget about it for 3 years, you do have to check make sure it’s still there in one piece every now and again but other than that your good, first time I had it I didn’t get my period for basically 3 years, and this time I got it in 5months pp and now I’m 7months and still no period, no cramping or pain
@Brittany thank you! I was definitely looking at the IUD or implant
@Georgia thank you! Did you notice any weight gain? I’m always hearing about it and I’m like I can’t gain more weight 😭🙂↕️
@Ash well to be honest I have gained weight but that could be cuz I’m eating crap so I could t give an honest answer to whether the implant has made me gain weight
I enjoyed my IUD. A copper IUD might be an interesting conversation for you to have if the hormonal birth control options affect you badly. The insertion was painful, but roughly equivalent to a pap smear in intensity imo. Some mild discomfort and period-like cramping the next week and a half and then everything was good!
