Nexplanon implant

Any mama has gotten the Nexplanon arm implant and feel very off after ? Hot flashes, go from very mad to happy, hard to loose weight, dry skin ? This is my first time. I’ve had it in for almost 5 months now. I don’t like it but I really can’t have another baby right now so that’s why I got it. Please share your experience.

I actually had it for most of my teenage years and never had any issues but after having my son 9 months ago I feel the same way! Literally all the same symptoms it’s so strange

For me I did not like the Nexplanon. I had it in for like three years though, and it messed up my hormones. I lost a lot of weight and was very moody. It worked well tho !

I have it and have had hot flashes, mood swings, fatigue, and struggle with weight loss. I’m looking at getting mine taken out beginning of November

It made me so depressed I almost killed myself. On top of that I had a period for 4 months straight & I became a shadow of my former self. No periods for a while then BAM random periods that were super painful. When I finally got the courage to take it out the procedure was 2.5 hours long. The mthfkr did not want to let me go 😅 blood everywhere & I was pretty skinny.

Mine was likely implanted too deep but my arm would randomly go numb. If you are having those issues, I’d probably talk to your doctor about other birth control options for you.

I had it and it was the worst birth control I've ever had and I had them all. From the bleeding for a month to it driving me crazy I couldn't. I had an entire mental break down because of it

I’m thinking about getting it

I got mine taken out after 6 months as it completely messed with me and ruined my mental health so much that even my other half was insisting I got it out. Was definitely fine before I had a baby but not after.

Hated it. Had 9 week long periods at a time and when they removed it, it had migrated and the muscle grew around it alot it hurt so bad to get it out and definitely took longer than 30 minutes

I had it for 8 months and then decided to remove it. I spotted for 2 months straight at the beginning than nothing at all. Than the last month and a half I was having period like bleeding a couple times a month with blood clots. My mental health was all over the place, headaches, stomach would cramp, gained weight. When I got it removed it took over an hour because all the muscle and tissue in my arm were covering the implant

I had mine before my pregnancy and I never had any bad symptoms. It was the best birth control I've ever had. Talk to your doctor though because it might be creating a hormonal imbalance or something!

Your hormones are already going through so many changes after birth (your baby is still so young!). It will definitely affect you negatively. No birth control is the best option. Look up natural methods and or use condoms.
