Plans during maternity leave

What’s everyone’s plans for maternity leave before baby comes? I am starting maternity on the 12th because I had to take some AL! I like to keep busy and have something to do throughout the day! I go on daily walks, the nursery and maternity bags a pretty much packed! I feel like I’m going to have nothing to do all day everyday until she is born which is meant to be 4th October and feel like I will have an urge to check my work emails which I really don’t want to do! What’s everyone’s plans and how is everyone else planning to keep busy!

I am planning to check all that I have prepped once again, prepare hospital bag, go for daily walks, finish a book or two and do online NCT and first aid courses

I've glossed some skirting boards this morning 🤣🤣

Painting is definitely on the docket along with a good clear out of all the trinkets and stuff that somehow made its way in our storage spaces.

I’ll be working right up til the mark (self-employed) but I’m using my spare time on crafts and filling my freezer with meals and snacks! I get bored of TV but need to do something and that seems to be a lovely use of time right now.

I can’t wait to do a solo cinema trip on my maternity leave before baby is here on a day when my toddler is in nursery :-)

I have 2 weeks off ( 6 days toddler free) I’ve got a long to do list! I also will plan a few special activities with my first baby so it’s a fun time for her. To do list is mostly nesting things and house sorting. Hopefully will get a lunch date or two with hubby! Definitely some baths, walks and one or two lie ins. It seems like time is dragging at the moment so hopefully when I’m off it goes faster!

Batch cooking, cleaning, yoga/stretching. Not a lot else 😆

Continue with the walks, visit family and friends, batch cooking / baking, any bits of cleaning that you can think of, double check hospital bags and that everything is set up as you want it in the nursery, antenatal classes (Baby Academy offer free ones), relax and have you time (very important) - Any pamper sessions or beauty treatments you want, get your hair done if you want, relax in the bath or have warm showers, take the time to do any hobbies that you won’t have the time to do once the baby is here😊

@Amber love that you’ve made sure to include moments just for you. I’m inspired

@Lala Got to get that oxytocin flowing 😂✨

I fear I won't fit it all 🤣 I am a person who doesn't know boredom, ever since little never was bored. So my plan is: Finish all birth, baby, breastfeeding and postpartum courses I purchased and keep going over them with husband until we both feel super knowledgeble and ready 😄 Read 4 books (2 nearly finished) Watch Netflix Daily walks Prenatal yoga and pelvic floor Prep meals and freeze them Have friends over as won't be going anywhere as soon as Oct 1st 😄😄

my maternity will not be starting until I go into labour because I will be twiddling my thumbs otherwise xxx

I’m on AL at the moment then my maternity starts 16th Sep So far I’ve cleared out/organised my wardrobe Meal prepped some dinners for the freezer for ease when the baby arrives Other than that I’ve just been taking it slow, taking time to chill out and enjoy just doing nothing before the baby arrives x

Finished today and I've booked a reflexology session, sound bath evening, I have a couple of books lined up to read, bought some knitting needles so I can practise this 😆 a couple of lunch dates, probably re organise/ have a mini clear out and clean. I was also wondering this as I am usually constantly on the go but want to fill my time wisely but not with work... Oh and I have been loving doing some bargain hunting around the shops recently for baby stuff x
