Potty training

We are in the works to get my son testes for autism. He has a ton of signs and pediatrician recommended it. My question for those with LO with autism how do you potty train them. I have done every 15 minutes one day then every 20 minutes the next day. He just sits or stands there. Doesn't communicate that he has to go. Advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the same problem. They think my son is potentially and I’ve had loads of help. Can I ask what his signs are that make you think he’s autistic? Also, having the same problem as my son is 3 in dec and I need to get him out of nappies as they are getting too small and there is only one more size left above him. Before they stop doing them for his size.

I was told that it’s best if you stay home for a solid five days with them and every time you change their nappy, take them to the bathroom to do it and that will get them used to having to go to the bathroom etc. it’s all repetition

He lines up his toys in a straight line, can point most of the time, doesn't look at you in the eyes , waves his hands in his face alot, covers his ears with certain sounds most of the time, gets triggered by certain things.

That's a few of them

My kid is being tested for autism also and he is 2. He wears pull ups. It's hard to potty train him. He pulls them off but he don't let me know if he has to go
