Yup! Me too... They said they didn't want us to lose weight in the information seminar thing, but what do they expect when you cut your carbs right down and eliminate sweet treats? The scales tell me I have only put on just over 3kg my entire pregnancy and I'm 40 weeks today... 😅

@Becky wow!! It’s true though if we’re not having carbs sugar we will naturally loose weight!! Makes no sense how we are suppose to gain it!

Well I haven't been weighed again at any appointments, but my diet has managed my GD and the little boy has always been right on the perfect average weight so I guess it is not a concern 🤷🏻‍♀️

I told my midwives and doctors the exact same thing and they weren’t fussed. I called the diabetic team and they went nuts at me, halved my metformin dosage to 2 pills a day and told me I should’ve said something sooner. Worth giving them a call because (although I’ve been repeatedly told it’s not my fault), when I lost 3kg in a month, my baby suddenly dropped 11 centiles and I was put on steroids and bed rest in hospital. Not trying to scare you (everything is fine with baby and myself now!) but just wish somebody had told me.

I also went back to having milk as a drink with my snacks and suddenly she put on weight again. Milk spikes me normally 🤷🏻‍♀️
