Diaper Changes

If your little one isn’t potty trained how are diaper changes for you mamas? My son refuses to sit still and fights me on it to the point the whole task is really really frustrating. The only thing that gets him to cooperate is a phone or video game and I hate feeling like that’s the only way he will listen and willingly participate. I really don’t want to give him those things, but when it comes to a poopy diaper I do it so that he doesn’t roll around and smear it everywhere in my attempt to change him. Idk what I’m looking for with this post, but I feel bad for having started this pattern/expectation with him and now need to figure out how to correct it.

Mine is hit or miss. Sometimes she doesn’t mind but at this age the “I don’t want to”’s are starting. I definitely distract my little with toys. I’ll keep something special on her changing table that she can look at/play with while we do the change.

We do about 8 a day but she has very recently started taking off her diaper and shorts so we are about to try potty training again.

My son hates his diaper poopy so he takes it off right after he poops but the hardest part for me is getting a new diaper on. Im about to start potty training again tho

My little guy hasn't laid down for changes in a long time. I change him standing up with pampers cruisers so they pull on. I give him a book to flip through or cars to play with up on a table he stands at and I change him. I put the clean diaper on his legs like at his knees before taking off the old one so it is quick and also makes it really hard to walk 🤣

Don’t push for potty training if he refuses, some kids starts at 2.5 year. Don’t associate potty with screen, because that will become habit

Well, if my daughter is wet, she’s pretty chill, but if there’s poop, it’s like fighting an alligator
