Bed rest?

Hi ladies with SCH, are you bed resting? Or just pelvic resting? Or business as usual? Normally id like to be out and about as much as possible on a trail, but I feel quite confined now as a precaution to worsening my Sch and other risks. I spend so much time laying down and a little sitting.. wonder if I’m overdoing it. Another question: should I take the prescribed baby aspirin? (Prevents preeclampsia) My background: had a huge bleed at 12 weeks after 2 days of aspirin. Stopped aspirin. Bleed paused for 2 days, then had some brown bleed/spotting. That was 2 days ago.

The bleed was probably due to the SCH leaving your body, I would have thought. I’d probably ask your midwife whether you should stop taking the aspirin or carry on with it.

I just had an intense incident with lots of bleeding last Friday. I was on full rest (minimal to no walking & can't lift over 10 pounds) for 3 days. Then saw my normal OB who cleared me to return to work (I'm a teacher) but still no physical activity (which is killing me because I usually run 3-5 miles a day since I coach boys cross country). I meet with my high risk doctors tomorrow for a full scan (I was already seeing them since 8 weeks since my daughter was born 2 months early with no cause). They get to determine if i can return to any physical activity. I'm hoping for at least swimming so I can still get cardio in, or maybe biking, but if I stay on "no physical activity", I may lose my mind. It also sucks cause I can't pick up my 2 year old because she's well over the 10 pound limit As much as it sucks for all of us with hematoma, just reach out to your doctor and ask what you are cleared to do and stick to it. Maybe they'll do another scan to check? (I'm 16 weeks, bleed happened at 15 weeks for me)
